Lives We Touch

Here at the Jesus Center, we are able to touch lives every day in a positive way. We are blessed to be able to share some stories of folks who have been impacted by the Jesus Center. Check back periodically to read about more members of our community whose lives we touch.

On any given night between 18 and 24 women and children are housed at Sabbath House. At the shelter, guests have a safe place to begin the process of transforming their lives - forever. The picture is of Upsie Hannon who lived in Chico in 2005. Because he was homeless, Upsie stayed at the Torres Community Shelter on Silver Dollar Way and ate a free breakfast and dinner at the Jesus Center on Park Avenue.
